Filippo Colombo and Alessandra Keller are Swiss Cross-Country Champions

Colombo remains the benchmark.

The old champion is the new champion once again: Filippo Colombo (Scott Sram) claimed a clear victory at the Škoda Swiss Bike Cup in Savognin, which also served as the Swiss National Championships. At the halfway point of the race, the rider from Ticino increased the pace and broke up the leading group consisting of Fabio Püntener (Bike Team Solothurn), Luca Schätti (BIXS Performance Race Team), and Matthias Flückiger (Thömus Maxon). “I’m really happy to wear the jersey with the Swiss cross for another year,” said Colombo. “I haven’t yet achieved the results I was hoping for in the World Cup – so this title on a demanding course against a top-level field gives me a lot of confidence.” The silver medal went to Püntener, who crossed the finish line eight seconds behind Colombo. “I’m satisfied with the two silver medals this weekend. They confirm that I’m on the right path.”
Bronze went to Schätti.

Keller delivers a show of strength.

For the third time, Alessandra Keller (Thömus Maxon) has claimed the title of Swiss Champion. In the third lap, the 29-year-old broke away and steadily extended her lead. By the finish, she had built up a gap of over a minute to runner-up Sina Frei (Specialized Factory Racing). “It was an incredibly tough race in these temperatures. Winning the title was one of my season goals – so I’m all the happier now,” said Keller. The bronze medal went to Ginia Caluori (Nexetis).

Treudler doubles up.

Following his Short Track victory the day before, Finn Treudler (Cube Factory Racing) doubled up on Saturday by winning the U23 Cross-Country race. Nicolas Halter (Thömus Akros) and Khalid Sidahmed (Scott Davos MTB Project) completed the podium – just as they had the day before. In the U23 women’s category, Fiona Schreiber (Bike Team Solothurn) claimed the national title with a 15-second lead over Monique Halter (Thömus Maxon) and Lea Huber (Nexetis). In the U19 category, Fynn Lanter (Cube Next Generation) took the win. Lewin Iten (RVW Pasolino Racing), who had been leading the race confidently until the final lap, suffered a mechanical issue and ended up in second place. Bronze went to Lenny Hochstrasser (Specialized Junior Team Switzerland). In the U19 women’s race, Anja Grossmann (Specialized Junior Team Switzerland) claimed a dominant victory, finishing more than six minutes ahead of Tess de Almeida (Thömus Young) and Chloe Tschumi (Bike Team Solothurn).

The next round of the Škoda Swiss Bike Cup will take place during the Bikefestival Basel on August 16 and 17, 2025.
